Spring Valley Advisers works directly with founders and owners of lower-middle-market industrial businesses. Our focus is on closing the gap between what a business is worth today and what it is built to be worth. That gap is where real value sits, and it is the first thing we look for.
The work is not consulting from a distance. It is hands-on, operator-led engagement. We assess what is actually driving performance and what is holding it back, then work alongside your team to address it.
Who We Are
Spring Valley Advisers was founded by Jim Swinderman, an operating executive who came up through the ranks of industrial manufacturing over thirty years. His first seven years were on the shop floor. The degrees came later. By the time he built Spring Valley Advisers, he had carried full P&L responsibility for four organizations, from a startup scaled to several million in revenue to a division of a public multinational with roughly 130 associates across the U.S. and China and as much as $60M in annual sales, across specialty manufacturing, precision machining, metals fabrication, and industrial services.
That background produces a different kind of advisory. A financial lens reads what a business has already produced. An operator's lens reads the conditions that produced it, and the ones holding it back.
Jim also serves as a Board Director for a federally regulated financial institution with approximately $450 million in assets, contributing to governance, risk management, and executive oversight.
